Hello, I'm Mei
I teach hatha, vinyasa and restorative yoga in Woodbridge, Suffolk and online. My aim is simple: to give people a safe, welcoming space to explore their body and mind, and to take some time out from this busy world.
How I came to yoga
I've practised yoga on and off for most of my life, alongside lots of other sports. It was always something I came back to, but a few years ago I started to take it more seriously and noticed how much it changed how I felt, both on the mat and off it.
In March 2023 I went on my first retreat, at Wonderland Healing Centre in Thailand. It was the moment yoga stopped being something I did and became something I wanted to share.
From there I travelled to Nepal to complete my 200-hour yoga teacher training with Atmashree Yoga School. Next I'm heading back to Nepal for my 300-hour advanced training with Sambodhi Yoga Home, so I can keep learning and bring even more to my classes.
Why I teach
What I love most is the community. Meeting new people, seeing someone relax for the first time in weeks, and watching a group of strangers become regulars who look out for each other. Yoga gives us a chance to step away from the noise for an hour. For me it's energising, refreshing and a real joy, and I hope it is for you too.
